The Position

PT is the organization that manufactures and delivers Roche’s ground-breaking therapies to more than 120 million patients around the world. We are involved in producing every Roche medicine – from the development process through clinical trials – and continuing through product maturity. Our organization coordinates all aspects of production of Roche medicines in all disease areas and dosage forms.

Are you passionate about manufacturing and looking for a meaningful leadership role? In this position, you will be part of the Drug Product organization. You are a member of the Site Leadership Team and responsible for overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing process for products and technologies within the Vials Volume value stream Kaiseraugst, including both sterile Drug Product (DP) liquid vial filling and Finished Goods (FG) secondary packaging.

Your opportunities:

  • Achieving critical metrics and outcomes of the Value Stream (VS) aligned with strategic goals (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Engaged workforce and Cost)

  • Leading a forward-thinking outlook with stakeholders and other Value Stream Leads (VSL's) for the site and the network

  • Creating a lean environment for robust manufacturing execution and continuous improvement

  • Influencing network and product strategies for the VS

  • Collaborating with peers to balance requirements and remove barriers across VSs

  • Ensuring resilient and agile Supply Chain for fast time-to-launch

  • Managing the VS budget within target

  • Leading a cross-functional team with diverse expertise to ensure high performance

  • People leadership of cross-functional teams in accordance with Roche People Practices

  • Ensuring succession planning and availability of critical resources and capabilities

  • Collaborating with PT network and site partners to achieve the PT production strategy and commitments

Who you are:

  • BS/BA degree in life sciences, physical sciences, engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Significant relevant sterile bio/pharmaceutical experience, including cross-functional group management and end-to-end Pharma business execution expertise

  • Fundamental knowledge of safety, quality systems, and quality assurance concepts, including cGMPs

  • Strong creative leadership skills according to the VACC model, with the ability to build forward-thinking outlook and develop people and technical capabilities

  • Ability to implement Lean ways of working

  • Proven capability to prioritize PT network, site and VS outcomes while collaborating across and within the PT network

  • Organizational change management expertise and experience in creating a long-term vision for a department

  • Lean mindset and end-to-end thinker with a focus on continuous improvement

  • Demonstrates entrepreneurial mindset, delivering in ambiguity

  • Excellent global and local communication skills, inspiring change without positional authority

  • Collaborates across functions, building an ambitious shared vision

  • Creates a collaborative environment, encouraging challenging assumptions
