To strengthen the Legal & Compliance team of our Alternative Investment Funds Management (AIFM) company in Balzers, we currently seek for a highly motivated and qualified

Your main focus will be on transaction and product engineering such as investment fund structuring from a legal, regulatory, tax and compliance perspective (incl. legal support of life-cycle management) and advising on complex cross-border investment structuring transactions. This will – amongst other tasks – include related legal documentation and support the formal setting up of suitable investment vehicles in various jurisdictions. Additionally, you will support the license maintenance of the regulated Group companies internationally and related corporate governance topics.

Main Responsibilities

  • Working closely with members from the business development, investment management and corporate teams to advise and support on a broad range of legal, regulatory, tax, compliance and corporate matters
  • Supervision of the Group’s global activities, service and product offering to ensure compliance with regulatory / supervisory law related obligations, license monitoring
  • Facilitation of cross-border investment structuring transactions
  • Interaction with service providers and stakeholders, legal counsels and supervisory authorities
  • Drafting and reviewing of sophisticated product documentation, business and transaction contracts, investment structuring memos and other complex legal / compliance and policy documents

Requirements / Experience

  • Legal graduate student (MLaw) and preferably first working experience within financial
  • An understanding of collective investment scheme regulation such as EU AIFMD, MiFID and relevant (national) implementation legislations
  • Investment know-how providing the potential candidate with in-depth and technical understanding of a broad range of financial products
  • Legal drafting / writing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English and German
