Five Senses Dining AG is seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef de Japanese Cuisine to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and design of all food menus
• Produce high-quality dishes that follow up the established menu and level up to location’s standards, as well as to clients’ requirements
• Arrange for repairs when necessary
• Remedy any problems or defects
• Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance
• Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Qualifications

• Proven experience at Kappo or KAISEKI restaurant in Japan
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
• Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
