Your Tasks

• Conduct research activities to identify integrated system and propulsion technologies for generic aircraft applications
• Lead and execute projects with system suppliers aiming at know-how build-up and understanding of system performance, limitations, and adequacy for Pilatus aircrafts
• Collaborate with internal product development teams to identify future challenges and needs
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and suppliers, as well as regulatory requirements related to aerospace systems and propulsion
• Propose developments, project plans, collaborations and technical documentation related to aircraft systems and propulsion projects
• Engage in national and international public funding programmes to foster academic/industrial knowledge transfer

With this you convince us

• MSc degree from a recognised university in a relevant engineering or science discipline
• Experience of 5 to 10 years in systems and propulsion of aircraft, their design, analysis and optimisation
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and German
• Internationally networked in the aerospace industry
• Knowledge of Swiss and international academic landscapes and associated public collaborative funding mechanisms is an advantage
• Self-propelled personality, eager to advance own projects, propose pragmatic solutions and achieve results
• Multi-functional interest and ability for hands-on activities coupled with project management
