Perform analysis on mineral and mineral-containing products using a variety of analytical techniques and application methods (e. g. particle size analysis, mechanical properties, rheometers, spectroscopy, etc)
Conduct guided non-routine experiments for product and process technology development contributing to industry-focused product development and future research and development goals
Perform maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of instruments used to perform the tests
Adapt industry (e.g. polymer, construction, paper, etc) processing equipment and/or conditions to meet the specific experimental objective
Demonstrate and develop expertise in sample preparation and processing equipment such as high speed mixers, extruders, presses, etc
Record test results and observations in computer based data retention system
Maintain responsibility for sample management, data entry and reporting
Candidate profile requirements
apprenticeship as L aboratory Technician
Experience working in a lab
Good technical skills and willingness to use them in a laboratory environment
Excellent computer and sorftware skills in Word and Excel
Good command of both German and English
Proactive, target-oriented and willing to work on multidisciplinary projects
