We are looking for a new Key Account Manager with a background in beauty/cosmetics.
This role involves a strategic and operational focus, critical in shaping our department store strategy. You'll manage key department store partners and foster mutually beneficial partnerships. 

Key Mission:

This role involves a strategic and operational focus, critical in shaping our department store strategy. Reporting to the corporate commercial director of ELC Switzerland, you'll manage key department store partners, with a primary focus on Manor and Globus.

Lead business relationships with department store clients, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships. Manage the ELC portfolio for assigned customers, driving growth aligned with company targets and global strategy. Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure long-term collaboration. Provide support to brands in defining go-to-market strategies and commercial plans. Initiate and implement agreed-upon market strategies in collaboration with retail, education, and brand teams.

Main Tasks:

  • Develops and delivers the key account commercial plan in line with commercial strategy, leading negotiations with retailers. Drives and develops ELC's position/share/ranking with the retailer, in close partnership with other commercial and cross functional colleagues
  • Explores new business opportunities together with the retailer and in alignment with the brand teams
  • Collaborates with education, field sales, marketing, digital and supply chain team to ensure strong activations, excellence in execution and alignment in forecasting
  • Evaluates the competitive landscape and evolution of retailer through regular site visits of top doors and centrals
  • Responsible for achievement of all quantitative and qualitative sales targets e.g. value, volume, distribution and financial targets, market share
  • Preparing the regular and Year-End-Talks and ensure implementation of the national sales plan and creating customer specific actions for retail and net sales growth & profit
  • Manages directly 1 collaborator and management by influence of commercial and cross-functional colleagues

Who are we looking for:

  • Degree in business management or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of Key Account Management experience in luxury or FMCG, ideally experience in beauty industry. Additional experience in marketing, trade marketing, category management is a plus
  • Omnichannel understanding of Swiss trade landscape
  • Proven success and experience in leading customers and achieving genuine sales development
  • Understands business finance, good analytical skills
  • Passion for and understanding of brands and their development
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Power BI
  • Proficient in German and English (C1), French an asset
