DECTRIS is a successful and growing hightech company that develops and manufactures X-ray and electron cameras to spark scientific breakthroughs around the world. While photographic cameras capture visible light, DECTRIS cameras count individual X-ray photons and electrons. Our 170+ employees are located in Switzerland, the United States and Japan.

Your Tasks
  • Collaborating with scientists on the integration of scientific workflows into the DECTRIS CLOUD
  • Working closely with staff at and users of Synchrotrons and EM facilities to gain insights into their needs
  • Effectively gather direct user feedback to learn about their behavior and pain points
  • Provide meaningful input for the development team, product management, and support based on the end-user feedback
  • Enable growth into new markets by showcasing successful integration of new types of experiments performed through DECTRIS CLOUD
Your Skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in working in a scientific environment at a Synchrotron or an EM facility
  • Familiar with and interested in diving deep into scientific workflows in the Synchrotron or EM environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enjoying to present work results to the scientific community and networking with scientists
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented, fail-fast-learn-early mindset
  • Very comfortable in writing software code in Python or similar language, also in front of scientific users
  • Excellent active listening skills and capable of extracting core messages out of large amounts of verbal and written information
  • Hybrid work is possible
  • Willingness to travel frequently (~20%)

The DECTRIS Cloud Solutions Team, a corporate venture of DECTRIS, is at the forefront of digital innovation. We accelerate scientific discoveries by overcoming data-related challenges in scientific and industrial R&D. To that end, we develop cloud-based infrastructure and services in a SaaS layer to empower scientists around the world to efficiently get the most out of their data in a collaborative manner. DECTRIS CLOUD is now entering the market with the goal of scaling up fast.
