Speedgoat develops and sells complete software and hardware development platforms for real-time simulation and testing. Our customers are engineers and scientists developing next generation controls, DSP and vision technologies such as for autonomous cars, electric aircrafts, robots, smart grids, power plants, smartphones and augmented reality technologies. Our solutions allow them to continuously verify and validate their designs along a complete Model-Based Design workflow using MATLAB® and Simulink®, including virtual and real physical testing.

Responsibilities

As Technical Project Manager at Speedgoat, you take the overall responsibility for customer projects including customized system configurations, signal conditioning solutions, and complete rack systems for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. In this position, you closely collaborate with customers and internal teams in development, sales, and production.

Key tasks

  • Elicitation, analysis, and validation of deterministic real-time requirements, I/O, signal conditioning, wiring, application modeling, and GUI requirements from the customer
  • Documentation of requirement changes
  • Engineering of the complete system and elaboration of solution proposal, pricing, and effort estimation
  • Supervise and coordinate project implementation across departments, partners, and customers
  • Assure that technical and regulatory requirements are met regarding product safety and electromagnetic compatibility in a mixed signal environment
  • Create assembly and test plans for integration and testing
  • Perform factory acceptance tests and on-site commissioning of the complete setup in close collaboration with the customer
  • Support standardization of Speedgoat's HIL system offerings

Qualification requirements

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Three years of professional work experience in technical project management, system engineering or hardware development
  • Proven track record in management of technically complex projects
  • Excellent skills in requirements and system engineering
  • Strong academic or professional background in the design of electronics hardware
  • Experience with MATLAB and Simulink, and ideally Simulink Real-Time
  • Experience with large hardware-in-the-loop systems is a plus
  • Experience with safety and electromagnetic compatibility of electronic products is a plus
  • Ability to learn and apply new technology quickly
  • Strong team player and proactive, flexible, and responsible person
  • High level of social competence and assertiveness
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Valid working permit for Switzerland
